It amazes me how strong the life instinct is...
As my partner would say, it's the beauty of the 'vital force'...
Life just wants to live.
It's evident in so many ways,
especially this time of year when the act of living is so visible...
Even with these terribly neglected potatoes.
This is essence of resilience.
When I work with children who have dificult circumstances...
If they've been abused or neglected, or their needs simply far from met -
I hope they have some of this resilient spirit inside them.
